Aletheia’s Siku(Day)

Early in the morning the sun starts to fill my room and I know it is time to wake my parents up.

_________________________________________________

Sometimes we take a walk to eat chapatti and chai for breakfast.

_________________________________________________

I like to dip things in my chai like mama does.

_________________________________________________

After breakfast I like to play! I play with blocks.

_________________________________________________

I like to play with Reed.

_________________________________________________

I like to play in daddy’s shoes.

_________________________________________________

I especially like to play with books.

_________________________________________________

After my naptime I usually eat some lunch.

_________________________________________________

Then I play some more.  I might play with my friend Lucy.

_________________________________________________

I might play in the furniture.

_________________________________________________

I might play on the swing.

_________________________________________________

I might play in the pool.

_________________________________________________

I might even play in the rain.

_________________________________________________

On days that I am feeling sick or especially sad daddy will watch a video with me.

_________________________________________________

Instead of playing, some days we take a trip!

_________________________________________________

Some times we walk.

_________________________________________________

Some times we ride.

_________________________________________________

We always make new friends and learn new words.

_________________________________________________

Sometimes people greet me loudly and I am scared.  But I am learning to greet back.

_________________________________________________

I learn lots of things all the time.  Recently I have been learning to go potty like a big girl!

_________________________________________________

Learning how to help daddy work

_________________________________________________

And learning how to let mama play the guitar.

_________________________________________________

After suppertime I take a bath and go to bed.

_________________________________________________

There is so much to learn and so much to play with.  I hope you liked my pictures. I am always trying new things.  So, when I do, I will put up new pictures again.

“Bye bye, wayi waw wau (I love you).”

  1. This is officially too cute! Aletheia’s first eBook! Wow – what fun to read this book/blog with her!

  2. Love the pictures. Ah the life of a missionary kid. Good to know we arent the only ones who read on the toilet. Keep up the good work!

  3. This story warms an Oma’s heart! Yes, many a child has been potty trained while reading books. But she does not recognize the person having a bad hair day while eating chapattis at Mama Uvango’s.

  4. What great pictures! She is adorable!
